Acton, MA Condominium Life Change

For this homeowner, moving out from her large family home into a single condominium style home was a life change. With tall ceilings and a beautiful woodsy view and back deck, the aesthetic was calm, but the kitchen finishes were not. The space was terribly dated, with teal green countertops, cabinets that were over a foot from the ceiling, a small center island with an awkward cooktop, and an unused desk by the side of the kitchen hall.

The homeowner chose beautiful, stately Brookhaven cabinets in their best-selling “Nordic White” painted finish. The Edgemont recessed door panel falls into the “transitional” category. Speaking for her lifestyle change, “transitional” was fitting. An added glass gothic mullion door really stands out. The cooking area has been moved to a better location, now venting out to the exterior. Taller upper cabinets were brought up to the ceiling, offering more storage, and finished off with crown moulding, The desk is gone and replaced with a matching tall pantry cabinet with convenient roll out trays. A custom bench was added along the previously blank wall, now creating seating for guests and extra storage.

The homeowner, along with her beloved German Shepherd, is settling into her new digs and this house is becoming “home” again.
